BC Language 11 Requirement Waiver

Who should apply

A student may request a BC Language 11 Requirement waiver for admission to UBC on disability-related grounds when there is a clear link between the disability and the language learning. E.g. a) student with a significant hearing loss, b) student with a learning disability, c) student advised by their school not to take Language 11.

Deadline

Submissions should be made no later than the admission deadline. Only completed applications will be reviewed.

Note: students admitted into UBC Arts with an entrance exemption are not automatically exempt from the graduation requirement. If accepted into Arts, speak with an Accessibility Advisor regarding the language graduation requirement.
